This appears to have been a more difficult set that last month, but that didn’t stop one player from producing a perfect 80/80 score. This month’s winner is:
Daniel Savin from Romania
Daniel is the retired CEO of a tech company based in Bucharest. He is a member of the Romanian national Seniors team, and the winner of numerous national championship titles at both teams and pairs. Daniel adds, “Since retiring in 2021, I have also enjoyed playing a lot of online competitions.
Also on the October Honour Roll are, with a score of 78/80, is:
Paul Boudreau from USA
And, with a score of 77/80:
Rashedul Hasan Ripon from Bangladesh, and
Tomasz Modrzejewski from Poland
And, with a score of 76/80:
João Fanha from Portugal,
Bill Wisdom from USA,
Hal Montgomery from USA,
Michael van Gulik from Canada
John Markakis from Greece, and
Alex Hogg from UK
In keeping with the truly international nature of this competition, Romania becomes the 14th country to produce a winning player this year. The honour roll this month also contains ten players, from eight different countries.
Congratulations to all those scoring in the 60s or 70s on another fairly tricky set.
