This seems to be a relatively high-scoring set, with around 100 entrants out of almost 2000 scoring in the 70s. We have joint winners this month, with an impressive score of 79/80:

Jon Cooke from England, and
Peter Teisen from Denmark

Jon has been a regular on the English tournament circuit for around 40 years. He says, “I enjoy the bidding challenges. This month I took a new approach of trying to pick the bid I thought the panel would choose rather than the one I thought was best, and it seems to have led to a better score!"

Peter is a member of the Danish squad that will be competing in the Seniors Teams at the World Championships in Argentina later in the year.

Although we have a Europe-dominated honour roll again, four different continents are represented, with two Americans and one each from India and New Zealand. We also have our first Danish winner.
